A mandarin-collar blouse with a half-button front and gathered cuffs on the sleeve in Ikat cotton, a durable and breathable fabric dyed before weaving to create its pattern, that’s easy to care for and softens with wear.
Emily wanted a blouse that didn’t need thinking about. Something simple enough to wear with anything, but with just enough detail, the collar, the gathered cuff, to not feel plain either.
Cotton is a durable, natural, breathable fibre that holds up well to everyday wear. It’s low-maintenance, doesn’t need special handling, and gets softer the more it’s washed. Ikat is a dyeing technique, not a weave: the yarns are dyed in patterns before the fabric is woven, so the design is part of the thread itself rather than printed on afterwards. This gives Ikat its characteristic slightly blurred, hand-made edges.

Ikat care info
Machine washable at 30°C. Wash separately for the first few washes, as with any hand-dyed fabric, some colour can transfer early on. Tumble dry on low if needed, or hang to dry.
